I have never been very good at collecting physical things like stamps, napkins, postcards or souvenirs. For five years, I collected chicken graffiti (Le Bird), but I couldn’t find more chickens so I stopped the mania project. Now, I prefer collecting something more abstract, like experiences, money in my bank accounts (apparently, I collect bank accounts as well, haha. No. Yes. Nope), or titles of books I’ve read during the year.

After spending one year tidying my grandmother’s stuff, I’ve become better at letting go of items I don’t need, and my conviction was that there is no reason to collect a bunch of useless trinkets. But then I got my first Pop! vinyl figure from Funko. The Pringles slogan, «Once you pop, you cannot stop», is befitting for these figures because now I have made a wishlist of the characters I want to include in my Pop! collection.

Yes, collecting these is as meaningless as collecting stamps, but at the same time, I feel that this selection of my favourite villains and strong females tells more about my personality than an album filled with old bits of paper. Below, I’ve added photos of the figures I have collected so far, along with favourite quotes.

This blog post will be updated as the collection grows.
